Barbara Weber-Floyd
President
A member of the Southampton Town Democratic Committee (SHDems) as well as East End Action Network, a grassroots Indivisible group, Barbara is a native New Yorker who is an experienced broadcast and print journalist and a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. In 2019, she published The Resistance and Me: An Insider’s Account of the Two-Year Mission to Stop the Trump Agenda and Take Back the House, a memoir/oral history that chronicles the rise of the anti-Trump movement in our congressional district from the 2017 Women’s March to the 2018 midterm election. A companion website, theresistanceandme.com, features her blog posts as does the SHDems website, shdems.org. She recently finished editing her father’s memoir, which is now available on Amazon, called Jack Weber Here! At the age of 99, his story encompasses nearly a century of American history, told with humor and insight by a member of the Greatest Generation.
Ron Klausner
Treasurer
Ron Klausner is married to Andrea Klausner and together they have four children, Kate, Abby, Joey and David, and five grandchildren, Nathan, Ava, Logan, Charlie, and Miles. Ron graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and Boston University School of Law. After practicing real estate and corporate law for three years at a Midtown firm, he recognized a unique opportunity to join a family wholesale distribution business in the New York Metropolitan area, which he operated, as President, for over 25 years before selling to an outside investor. Having managed his personal and business financial affairs for years, Ron then joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor.
He has since retired from Morgan Stanley to manage his own investments from the East End of Long Island where he is Co-President of Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, a Board Member of the Long Island Region of the American Jewish Committee, a member and Zone Leader of the Southampton Democratic Committee, a Board member of the Democratic Club and a member of the Southampton Aircraft Advisory Committee.
Ron also enjoys life out east by boating, fishing, playing golf and taking long walks on the beach.
